Hi folks! This has happened to me a couple days in a row now, and I want to get some opinions. I've got a 98 v90 with 76k miles. New timing belt at 72k miles.
Long story short: the engine starts easily, idles great, but shudders when I give it some gas after a cold start. For instance, when leaving work, I'll start it up, idle out of the parking lot and notice the symptom when I'm accelerating down the road, then I go 100 yards and get onto a ramp for the interstate. The engine will shudder while I accelerate and merge. by the time, I'm moving with traffic, the problem has gone away completely. Doesn't come back until I've let the car sit for a long time again.
It feels like one of the cylinders is missing. i was thinking it could be a bad coil (as far as I know, they are all original), but how do test them?
BTW, the CEL has not come on yet.
