Before I had it towed to the shop, I did swap out the ignition module and the coil from my wifes 940. Still no go.
You are probably right that I need to look at the wiring. Most if not all of the harness holders on the firewall and drivers fender area are cut loose - indicating that the PO (or his shade tree mecahnic) had been looking for a problem in the wiring harness.
I was thinking that this was not a real problem after 88, though ??
