Trans: to flush or not to flush 700

More thanks goes out to volvofever and hardknocks. I am going to put the flush off for a little now. Didn't think about the fact that the loosened particulate matter after an initial flush could cause problems. Seems like a pretty basic common sense concept and I am slightly embarassed I hadn't thought of it.

Still no one has addressed one of my other initial concerns. I swear I have heard that I should let sleeping dogs lie and somehow changing the fluid could cause harm. Someone did mention that this is possible but if so then the transmission is bad news anyhow and should be junked. What is the chances that this is the case considering that it seems to shift correctly for it's milage?
