My neighbor's 93 240 has developed knocking in the past few months. To date, he has done a tune up, (new plugs, etc), cleaned up the fuel system, change different grades and brands of gasoline, but no improvement. His mechanic told him the the EGR system might be the cause. Any one of you had this problem before? Many thanks in advance for your input.
