Thanks for your input guys. I guess we will start with the knock sensor. By the way, given the hot weather all year round in Malaysia, we get only one grade of gasoline at the pumps all year round - RON 97. IMO, that should be more than enough to keep out the knock if the timing is set to factory specs.
