Engine won't turn over let alone start 444-544

You can do a quick & dirty check of your battery cables by CAREFULLY connecting a jumper in parallel to each of them.

That is from the cable terminal on the starter directly to the battery post and ...

from the ground terminal on the battery to a ground on the engine. (This bypasses the ground cable from the body to the engine)

Good luck, the others have tendered some great suggestions.
