Restricting steering angle 444-544 1965

Cameron,

I can't find my factory 544 shop manuals (I hope they're not lost forever!!!!) to back this up, but a Road & Track road test in 1963 shows the 544 turning circle at 32 feet. That's nearly 2 feet more than the 140 series. And that's how I remember it, having owned multiple examples of both cars... the 140 did indeed turn a little shorter, but it also took nearly a full turn more to go lock-to-lock at the steering wheel.
