I know that an overheated power stage will no work but how a cold (overnight) power stage would not.A faulty one will not work in any condition right?
Will perform another test today. Will disconnect the crank sensor, then start the car. Obviously it will not start but then I should NOT see any changes on the fuel relay while cranking.
What I want to do is completly discard any posibility that the crank sensor is faulty (seems that is easier to diagnose) before buying a very expensive power stage module.
The whiteish compound IS thermal grease. Will see if using a bigger heatsink will help or even using a peltier cooler.
Any way to test the power stage or at least its wiring?
Why the wiring, this car has been sitting for so much time (almost 2 years now) the only use from that time is starting the engine from time to time (monthly)
The last time, the engine was running and all of the sudden it stopped, just like someone turn the key off. After that, no spark.
One thing though, when I turn the key off, the coil sparks. Is that normal?
