Thanks for the quick response. I did not mean to suggest that the system was welded in the first place - only that I could probably weld it back together.

Okay, so where do I get this high-quality slightly-larger-diameter system?

I found a website called drivewire.com that has the following items:

Starla Volvo 122 Header Pipe
Starla Volvo 122 Muffler - Center
Starla Volvo 122 Tail pipe with resonator - Wagon only.

Does that sound like what I need?
