crankcase ventilation screen 1800 1971

The crankcase ventilation screen is cloged on my 71 1800e.It's located on engine block next to the distributor. How do I get the screen out? Does it screw into the red oil cathcher? Does the red oil catcher screw in the block? I don't want to bend or break anything.
