Krusty;
Before replacing seal, investigate what's happening! Windshields are known for leaking due to hardened/cracked old gaskets which are no longer sealing well...remove inner trim, have someone hose the windshield to locate leak from inside vehicle....
Gasket can be replaced without wasting windshield...just cut holding lip (inside vehicle) from gasket and extract windshield with no effort...remove old gasket and clean frame (repair/paint rust spots which will likely be present, and may be contributing to leak) soak new gasket in warm water to increase rubber compliance...install onto glass...install chrome trim onto gasket BEFORE installing on vehicle (use string to pursuade holding lip around metal edge after placing windshield in place).
I belive Phil has additional good info in an on-line article on his site....maybe he'll chime in with URL...
Cheers
