A little more on my setup. 120-130

Yes, I'm not going to debate the Girling Booster. The fact is that it works, so it's installed, feel free to buy me something better.

When I got the car, the original PCV setup had the filler cap hose going to the carbs and the intake hose coming from the flame trap into the intake. The original booster was bypassed. Based on other people's pics and the hoses that I had in my parts bin, I put a T into the flametrap-to-intake and attached the working booster I had picked up.

With the B18 and HIFs had the top PCV hose going to a single-filter air box but the carbs had to be set excessively rich to idle and run correctly (Probably a clue). I *did* have the new B20E plumbed the same way but clearly it did not work correctly. For some reason these carbs need/want a solid vacuum. When it's present, everything runs great. Also, there is only one vacuum fitting on my intake, and it's the same size as the fittings on the B20E's original intake manifold. There *is* a bung for a second fitting, but it's not drilled out.

Seems like my easiest option would be to put my mini-filter back on top of the filler cap, route the flame trap hose to the breather box and keep the brake servo connected to the intake with the proper-direction check valve in place. That would keep the fresh air in the engine, keep the vacuum between the servo and the intake, and keep my crankcase pressure from getting out of hand.

Sound like a workable setup?
