I get it... And now know what's wrong 120-130

To yours and Old Kombi's responses. The airbox came from an eBay purchase but is superficially the same as the box on my old B20 equipped 145.

The bolt holes did not match up to my HS6s or my HIF6s (But might have worked on that set of strombergs...) Anyway, I drilled new holes and plugged the old ones so that this box would bolt to my HIF6s. This box has no built in flame trap. Just a port to attach the top PCV hose to.

The 67 PCV valve is actually I mistook for the flame trap filter. Someone told me it was flame trap fitting so I assumed it has the same function as the brass filter element in the B20 oil box. This is clearly not the case, so I'm opperating the system without it's PCV valve. No wonder it freaks when that hose is attached... :)

The long a short is that I need to switch back to the smaller hose B18 oil trap box and put the proper PCV valve back in.
