I thought that 42mm DCOE's used 40mm DCOE style chokes.

33mm chokes is the point that 45mm throttles are needed.

I've actually done a fair bit of work with L20B Nissans & 2 Litre Pinto engines with 2x 45's & the B20 is much louder than either. It's a sign of extra intake reversion due to the longer rod ratios & intake ports that flow great backwards.
