Cautionary Note 120-130

My 67 Wagon's original owner put some heavy duty shocks on the front and ended up tearing the inner fender sheet metal perpendicular up above the front spars. It's not a serious structural failure, but is something that I'll need to have repaired before my new paint job. He said that the tearing occurred when he tried to improve the front stiffness. Seems that old heavy Volvo steel does have some limitations... Just a warning. You can go *too* stiff on those shocks...
