Make sure the battery is fully charged and the connections at both ends of the cables are clean and tight.
If the crank position sensor has a yellow band on the cable replace it, because if that is not the problem it will be soon. It usually fails intermittently at first. I just replaced one in a 93 240 that was working fine but the insulation was rotting off and it had a yellow band.
Try disconnecting the electrical connector (Ignition off) to the air mass meter (AMM), if it runs and idles fine replace the AMM.
