I'll give two advantages to sedans:

1. They are quieter. Anyone who's driven both will agree.
2. They have a lockable, free-from-prying-eyes cargo space.

Other than that, they simply lack the versatility of a wagon. I just moved 2000 miles across the USA, toting everything I own, in a 245.

Besides, the 740 sedan looks like a Chevy Celebrity.

And if I didn't want practical and versatile, I wouldn't be driving a Volvo at all. I'd drive a Miata.
