If you can do it you can save some money on the flat sections of floor
by getting about 16 gauge black iron sheet at a sheetmetal shop and using
that rather than getting formed floors, especially if the damage is fairly local.
You want to watch the joint between the sill under the door and the rear edge
of the front fender on the passenger side, especially if a battery has leaked or
blown up in the car. If that joint starts to open up you are in for some serious
frame reinforcement. That happenend on "Li'l Red", one of the 122s I left in
Panama. I made sure that they jacked it up before welding the reinforcement
in so the gap was closed. They welded a fairly long plate on both sides of the
main frame rail. (I did the floorboards myself not long after starting to wear
bifocals. Now gas welding with bifocals is indeed a TRIP!!)
