Light socket: DRLs, or not? .... 200


I guess DRL's depend on the market. Some places, like Sweden, require them... some places prefer you not have them, some places don't care and so they slip through. Supposedly, even the stock North American turn signals are relatively easily converted to DRL's:

The DJ Auto ones that I had didn't have the DRL's set up. I've got a spare "European" Cibie signal without the DRL wired, and on the car I've got a set of Cibie signal assemblies with the DRL's all wired up from Australia... but winter set in before I could wire them up... one of these days. Interesting that the U.S. 240 turn signal connector has the empty pin for the DRL's.

BTW, that's a pretty fantastic birthday present!!
