Type of people who live in a neighborhood runs in cycles. When we bought here (8 years ago) the area was almost exclusively retirees. The only kids I knew about were the two boys who live across the street, and they are truly good kids. Their Mom would have killed them long ago if they even thought anything bad.

About 2 years ago, when the local real estate market hit a high, a lot of the homes in our area sold...to families with kids.

The ones I worry about are the policeman's kids just a few doors down, but they seem to be better than they look!

I suspect our 'vandals' live outside the neighborhood, and I'd almost guarantee that the ringleader is our old paperboy. I think his parole is up by now. He is one of the most destructive kids I've ever had the misfortune to meet.

You can expect your neighborhood to change in the next few years.
