Yeah, the cam is dead on straight up as installed, and I will get around to advancing it a bit and see if that cures the WOT midrange richness (odds are good, I agree). I don't notice it in normal driving, and economy is good as-is, so I haven't been in a hurry.
Been playing with some interesting custom cam grinds in other engines, so I have the offset key thing down pat by now. Just finished a FIA-legal 1836cc B18 -- cam is 254/254 at .050" lifter rise, .480" gross lift, 108 LSA, installed 3 degrees advanced... should propel a lightened PV444 pretty well. It's first race is September 1-3, so we'll soon find out.
