Do you remember the original BMC-Mini? To get them to get a big cam to work with twin SU's they used what was called a 'scatter pattern' cam. The lobe centres of the inner cylinders was different to the outers to help stop the inner & outer cylinders from robbing mixture when they were both pulling on the same SU.
They best example I have seen is:
Inlet 1 & 4 Lobe Centres = 104
Inlet 2 & 3 Lobe Centres = 98
Exhaust 1 & 4 Lobe Centres = 108
Exhaust 2 & 3 Lobe Centres = 102
The old Mini has a siamesed exhaust port for 2 & 3, not unlike the siamesed exhaust manifold on the B18/B20.
Can you use a B20 head gasket? It would be worth using a bigger inlet valve & taking the chamber out to 93mm long, then chamfer the bore adjacent to the inlet valve.
