Yeah, if the idea is to keep costs down, that doesn't make much sense. I did the opposite for the vintage engine -- $425 aluminum 8 pound flywheel with a B&B clutch on it. The guy's been running a stock flywheel for years on his old engine, and that's light enough in comparison for him to get used to for a while.

First race is the Columbia River Classic at PIR Labor Day weekend, if anyone but me is interested.
