Trouble starting cold. 120-130 1966

Craig mentioned it but did not stress the importance of checking the oil. If it is a straight weight oil or if it is old and loaded with combustion byproducts, it will be too thick when the temperature drops.

I once changed a battery in near zero degree F weather that improved nothing. If I had checked the oil on this car, unfamiliar to me, I would have seen that it was molasses.

It is simple enough to change the oil to see if the cranking behavior improves.
