122 Ignition Switch Woes 120-130

RJ;

Having spare keys is always a good idea and certainly recommended, but with all the stress your car has put you under recently, I wonder just how much of that stress was transfered to the key...

You know right...if you have the original IGN switch/cable/coil assembly in your car(s), you are also blessed with the Gorilla return spring, against which EVERY key will eventually LOOSE...it's not a matter of IF, but WHEN.

Kevin; I'd recommend a little synth grease behind the lock cylinder, and a light oil (I prefer tri-flo) into the keyslot of the lock cylinder. Use NO Teflon containing oil behind the lock cylinder where it could work it's way to the electrical contacts.

Cheers
