Hall Effect Sensor 200 1986

I would think the best way to know for sure whats going on here is to back probe pins 3(GN) and 5(Y) at the ignition ECU with everything connected. Verify you still have +12v at 3(gn) and see if 5(y) alternates between 5 and 0 volts while cranking (you may have to be on VAC to see something).

A steady 5V on 5(y) would suggest a mechanical problem with the sensor. Try the feller gauge in front of it as suggested. Do you have the old sensor? If so plug it in and move it around metal while watching your voltage.
