Modfiying the engine 444-544

Bob-

I always get people telling me why I would spend all that time installing a B21 engine in a 122 without making it a turbo? I never wanted to make my project a performance project, just a nice upgrade to a fun driving car.

I don't drive my 122 at 100mph, but it's nice to know that the car can keep up with the other cars going up the mountains (I live in the Rocky Mountains).

When I got my 122 body (bascially free), it was basically in the same condition as this 210 is in: No engine, body was rough, little rust here and there, and everything else is there (less rust, and more of everything else on the 210). Somebody gave me the engine and transmission(basically free). Worked out well for the 122, I really like how the car drives, and I know that the engine parts are plentiful.

I already have the engine(B230) and transmission (M41) from other projects, and this car is pretty much in need of what I have (for free), and already know how to do.

At this point, I don't know if the B230/M41 will even fit in a 544/210 like in a 122. I know a B16/B18/B20 does, and that the M41 will have to get the tunnel widened.

I have to wait to see how the initial fitment of the a B21 block and M40 (I have some stripped down block-much lighter than a complete engine) fits before deciding on which direction to go with this new project.
