Thanks for reply gus_boy. Tranny, overdrive, torque converter lock up are all a-ok working fine. #1, #2, #3 gears all fine. Overdrive fine. Lockup fine. Tach is most definiteley reading too high. I've only had this car 3x weeks now. Once or twice I've seen tach read correct. Otherwise its off. For example on Saturday at 70mph it read 3000rpm then next day(Sunday) also at 70mph it was reading 4000rpm.
