Bad Tach Or Bad Sensor ?? 700

Thanks for reply mcduck. I am new to 740. Only have had this car about 3x weeks now. I guess that it is good news that there is no sensor. So I guess that means problem is the tach and I should replace that then. Not adjustable is it ? If there is no sensor or sender on engine then what communicates the rpm's to the tach ? Thanks.
