Did it happened as you got the car warmed up, say as you left a red light?

It seems to get better for a while? Seems to be worse in warmer weather? After you get past the stumble the engine will catch and then take off? Can you run at highway speeds all day long? At idle she runs just fine. It is just that getting past the stubble on take off.

If it happens again, that is the exact description of the Fuel Pressure Regulator problem on my 86.

Pull off the vacuum hose and see if you can smell a gas odor. If you do change that sucker out.
