People do use the B21FT pistons, but boring it out to B23 size wouldn't be possible...to get the extra volume you have to stroke the crank. Why not just got to the next oversize (I'm assuming you're dealing with a B20 here). The standard method is to measure the diameter of the piston perpendicular to to wrist pin, if the pistons are smaller in that dimension they are junk. You can usually tell it is time for new pistons and an overbore if the pistons are scored badly and there is a ridge at the top of the bore. Make sure you measure the bores and pistons with a Micrometer, not a caliper.
