I read recently here on the BrickBoard that the overdrive has drain and fill holes of it's own. Or maybe it is drain hole only. I don't know if the oil of each unit is separate from the other, but I'm curious to know too.

Some folks say that overdrives prefer the thinner of the specified or mentioned oils. Others say that neither the transmission nor the overdrive care at all about which type of oil their gears are bathed in, as long as there is enough of it.
