My brakes failed inspection, need help

The dust boot covering the piston looked dry, and I haven't noticed fluid loss from the reservoir, but I'll make sure to check for this leakage.

To be sure, the lock-up combined with no pulsing in the pedal is indicative of something altering the pad-rotor contact surface and not warped rotors.
