do it yourself alignment 200 1993

Ron,

I was going to post a corrected illustration with instructions. But there is no sense reinventing the wheel; a Google search returned dozens of procedures for using strings to set alignment in the garage.

This is one of the best documented that I found:
http://www.elantraclub.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=15456

The idea of using sliding plates to allow the chassis to settle negates the need for a completely flat, large, and level work area. You can do this in your garage without rolling the car to and fro. The idea of using floor tiles with grease between them for sliding plates is all over the 'net; I can't find the original source but is an elegant and simple solution.

When you do this, how about reporting back to us?
