Coil Ohms... 120-130

I probably did not get a good check here since I could not get the car running (although there is spark confirmed with an inductive pickup) my guess now is that the plugs are fouled or something otherwise fuel-related...

With the engine off, I applied my cheap (radioshack) multimeter to the - and + coil terminals and found 0 ohms.

Maybe that's bad, maybe that's because the engine is off, maybe it's the cheap RS multimeter. I'll need to get it started again to re-check things.

I've got a better quality AWIS MM that needs a new battery. I'll check on that and get back with you.

I'm not running an ignition amplifier unless you are calling the crane xr700 such. I was thinking about finding an MSD unit, but have not done so.

Don't worry about explaining the ignition in too much detail, I've looked over the figure at SW-EM and have studied the switch from my 67 wagon and I think I have a rough understanding of it. I've traced the KPI and KPII wires (green spade-end to starter and thick black to starter solenoid) and know what they do.

I'm not sure what the deal is with this coil. I agree that it coil be part of my problems since very late last year/early January when I installed the E-gnition and burned the brain inside of a week.

The coil was bought used from a BBer who has sold me many fine parts of the last couple years.

It is itself a tad larger than the coil from my 1800E, and had no obvious distinguishing marks aside from being a blue bosch coil. There were some decals, but these were lost in trying to mount the coil inside the Amazon.
Is there anything I ought to be looking for to ID it's source/type?
