M41 Install 140-160

a couple additions to what others said...

Firstly, I assume you did try that cover on your gearbox... and confirmed that it works? I only ask because from a '75, it could be from a M41, or perhaps a M--- oh what is it? M45 or M47... anyhow. Just make sure it works through the gears when installed.

Second... the '75 being a 240.. The location of the remote shifter *might* be different than what you'd find in a '72-74 140. Not sure about that...

All that said, I'd still go with the wobble stick. And, like George, I'm fairly sure I would be able to offer a cover and shifter if you need one...

I know that I've got the long shifter on my M410, so I know they fit. But in hindsight.. it seems there is a potential issue with springs/balls that hold the shift rods in place... in where they locate on the cover. Perhaps it was early/late M40 covers. Ideally, you would need one from a late car I think.. late as in, a '71 and preferably from a '71 that had OD so your 4th gear switch is in place...

Seems like I took pictures, don't know if I'd be able to find them though...
