The '75 top cover fits swell (same fit as earlier long-top covers) - used that in my '72 w/M-41 before going to the 5.0/T-5 swap.
I perferred the '75 top cover because of the thick anti-vibration section in the center of the top cover - actually made a bit-o-difference (no stick rattle).
Long sticks are cool too ;-)
