You are right, of course about the one I bought being needing modification.

This might be some good info to have added to the FAQ's. The 'Tool 5284' mentioned is probably a factory item, and I am sure that it works perfectly well with a factory harmonic balancer.

Truth is though - many of us use after market parts and tools, such as the one sold by IPD and the one I bought from eEuoparts. If I had known about the elongated hole in the IPD version, along with pertinent warnings about other versions and possible problems in use, I would definitely have went with the IPD part.

Hope it makes it there for others.
