Yup, I can stand on the pedal and it is quite stiff when the car is not running. In fact, I took the car out for a spin last night (I've been waiting to drive it since it needs a new inspection sticker) and the brakes do work, but the pedal is quite soft. A few panic stops at low speed even produce the requisite squeal for a second before the ABS kicks in. So, I could learn to drive like this, but I would much rather take full advantage of my newly installed, non-sticking caliper, Brembo rotors and nice pads.
I guess I"ll try one more time to bleed the system and then I'll get a donor master cylinder and booster from another car.
