Wow, I'm not sure I can give you an answer about the bumper stickers. All I can give you is an opinion. On January 12th 2002, my wife crashed our 89 244 at 55MPH into a creek bank due to a cut tire, the car was shortened by four feet. She survived despite having a broken neck and having her heart restarted twice at the hospital. After six months, she fully recovered with no ill effects. Even her neurosurgeon was telling me right after the accident that she would be a quadriplegic or die from her injuries...less than a 2% probability of full recovery. Then I showed him the pictures of what was left of the 244, his comment was crude but compassionate... "now I understand why we didn't have to amputate her legs. Please note that her only leg injury was a dime sized bruise on her right knee!

Our 5 year old Boxer dog was in the crash as well, curled up in the passenger side front floor (where he always hung out), he walked away without physical injury, but after that, getting him in a car was a true nightmare!

So, can I give credit to Volvo's 240 design, yes, absolutely! Can I give Volvo all of the credit for their product saving my wife's life... absolutely not! The good Lord and the good Doctors stepped in and made her recovery possible!

Please note, the 89 244 had no bumper stickers at all, religious or otherwise. That being said, at the time we were considered to be "heathen Methodists" by our southern Baptist neighbors! In closing, I have to guess that heathen Methodists receive the Lord's mercy and support just like the rest of us do!

So when it comes to the bumper stickers on your 240, rip them off if you don't like them, just maintain your faith! Its all about the faith!
