Bad D-jet Behavior. 140-160

Bob;

I would agree also...during atmospheric conditions when there is condensate forming on all surfaces in sight (because they are below dewpoint), your IGN or Injection system can both be affected to the point of not working at all, but if a good heatsoak dries it out good enough to completely cure it, I wouldn't try to figure out exactly which connection it was, but I would recommend some Preventative Maintenance at the next opportunity.

Although I don't like WD40 much because it is mostly solvent and not a lube, and it doesn't leave much behind and certainly nothing long-term, this is one place were it is called for and will work well...it displaces water so will help on the spot, but PM is preferred.

PM for IGN is to keep it clean...and I'd start with dist cap!...remove once a year, wash out carbon dust, dry, replace...that carbon dust promotes condensate droplets, which then give a path for high voltage to leak away. Clean wires and plug ends with carb cleaner.

PM for FuseBlock is to clean circular contact area of fuse terminals and conical fuse-ends, then apply a dab of Anti-Corrosive Zinc Paste, NOT INSULATING DIELECTRIC GREASE!!, reinstall fuses. See: http://sw-em.com/anti_corrosive_paste.htm

PM for D-Jet connectors is disconnect, spray with Deoxit-D5, reconnect a couple of times... See: http://www.sw-em.com/Product%20Reviews.htm#Deoxit , or also ACZP.

Cheers
