yes.... very true. An additional light such as that won't make necessary an alternator... I had a pair of 100w off road lights behind the grilles of a 122 with generator, and never had a problem. Very occasional use, of course, and never on for long periods of time. Mostly just used them for flashing folks who had their brights or driving/fog/off-road lights on in town when visibility was not a problem.. (grrr at them)
So, you're in no hurry... if the generator is working, why fix it now... you have time to decide which route to take, and when.
