Below are some pics of the stage I'm at now with the current mounting situation. A sturdy metal tubing spacer and a long bolt mounting the alternator to the stock bracket. I'm off about a half inch on the belt alignment. I need the alternator to be able to move forward that much so the belt will run straight across the pulley. If I had better or more tools, I would just make a new bracket like the stock one, but a half inch more forward or longer at the front.
I could grind about a half inch off the front of the alternator mounting point to move it forward, but then I might have issues with it being able to pivot up and down.
This all would be an easy fix if I needed the dang thing to go back half an inch.
Any suggestions after seeing the pics???
