Is fiberglass compatible with gasoline?

After making your repair consider purchasing one of the products that seals the internal surface of gas tanks.

The one I have used is like contact cement. You seal the openings of the tank (save one) and add the sealant. After sealing the final opening you repeatedly turn the tank to get a coating of the material on the entire internal surface.

Open the tank and drain all of the remaining liquid sealer. Allow the internal coating to dry. Reinstall your tank.

The one I used was from Eastwood and was advertised as a way to seal the inside of a rusty tank.
