Is fiberglass compatible with gasoline?

I have done this three times on three cars and all are in service.

The Jeep had a stone between the Tank and the Tank's skid plate that eventually wore a hole. The clear resin and some weave fixed it 13+ years ago. Still doing fine.

The Pickup truck, same thing. dirt and crap gathered in one corner between the tank and the cheesy plastic cover causing small punctures. Dropped the Plastic, tilted the truck so no gas or fumes were bleeding out of the holes and Glassed it. that was about 10 years ago. I also drilled some large holes in the plastic to stop the gathering of gack.

Last year, I did the corners of my sons gas tank on his '74 Dart

Yeah, do it
