740 cooling anomaly

I know some gaskets say you don't have to do it but when it comes to some things, like Heads, I do cycle the engine hot to cold slowly a few times then retorque.

Now that it probably did leak through to build pressure in the Coolant, I hope you didn't compromise the gasket.
