A great lady and longtime member of the Brickboard. An artist who happens to live in Minneapolis, and a Volvo lover of good standing. She used to be prolific on the opinion board until she developed a brain tumor.
Malignant and inoperable, discovered just over 4 years ago, she has gone to the Mayo clinic for chemo and radiation. Initially, she was given 6 to 9 months to live. Not one to bow to normal conventions, she is still fighting!
I found her a 1996 Volvo 850 wagon to get around with her great service dog. She has problems coordinating the clutch and moving the shift lever in her 220, her summer car. She really misses driving the 220, it even has a trailer hitch to pull her Belgian Carravan around the country.
The tumor and medications have taken a toll, she can no longer speak the words she wants to - they just won't come out. She cannot say numbers at all. But she will still let you know her opinions and sense of humor are alive and well. It is sad that she can no longer use a keyboard and even moving the mouse is difficult.
But, I feel fortunate to have met her and only wish I could do more to help.
