Far out, indeed! Treat your O/D just like you would a conventional fifth gear, with a clutch in during switching and unswitching. It will last a lot longer for you. Unlike the M46 with OD in the 200s that use auto tranny fluid, this combo in your 220 calls for 30 wt engine oil. I've been using Amsoil 30wt. Heavy Duty diesel oil in mine for the last 3 years, but I'm sure other people have their favorites too. Congratulations again! That is very neat, especially in the wagons with the 4.56 gears.
