OK,thanks, I'll check the flexing idea. I assumed the IAC was always closed and required an input to open - I think I recall blowing into one to see if it was seated correctly and wasn't able to get any air in. Also, doesn't the IAC bypass the AMM - opening and closing to maintain idle speed ? I better go have another look.
