Front vent window rivets 120-130 1967

I really like to use the vent, especially when it gets warm. But the 2 small rivets at the top pivot point are broken.

It appears that the glass has to come out of the channel, arrrg. Anyone care to supply helpful encouragement?

I could order the rivets, they are cheap, but what about the rubber that is in the channel? Do I need windshield glue to hold it back together? Will I need to dismantel the door to do this?

How do I spread the rivet inside the small chrome channel without hurting anything?

I need a good Green book.
